Feb. 3, 2010 — Manchester Running Company has announced the remainder of the MRC Snowshoe Series races (Feb. 7 and 14) have been canceled. We do not anticipate enough snow for the race on Feb. 7th and have determined that the best action is to discontinue the series for the year at this point. We greatly appreciate the support for the races this year and hopefully 2011 will give us more snow!

We promise for the next week the course will be marked more clearly with volunteers out on the course for guidance.

Jan. 9, 2010 (12:20 p.m.) — Following an inspection of the course this morning, Manchester Running Company has determined snow conditions will allow us to host the MRC Snowshoe Series on Sunday (Jan. 10) at 1:00 p.m.
The course is covered with just enough snow (about 4″) to allow for snowshoe use. A reminder the pick-your-distance fun run will begin at 1:00 p.m. and Dion Snowshoes will be there for participants to try out some running snowshoes. The 5k race will ..read more
Manchester Running Company’s Running Club had several participants run extremely well in the 73rd Manchester Road Race. Drew Best and Jake Gurzler took 23rd and 26th overall, respectively. Marisa Clapp was the first Connecticut female across the line in a time of 27:34.
