  • Nina Sky said:

we also have a great 4×1. please consider relays

We are considering Relays at the end of the meets; our concern is just that you might be racing against no one else. We are bouncing the idea around though. Thanks!

any idea on the level of competition for the distance events?

  • MRC (author) said:

tough to say, I know there are alot of strong college runners around who are home for the summer and quite a few post-collegiate runners who have some talent… also who knows if the stronger high school runners will go all out on the track at this point

    I don’t know the facility.
    Any chance of a steeplechase?

  • C.W. Griswald said:

    How about pole vault also??

Thanks for putting on the meets!
Any chance of a steeplechase or pole vault?
    Thanks.

  • MRC (author) said:

We would absolutely love to do the Steeplechase, but the facility is not set up for that, unfortunately. No barriers so we cant even do a dry one.

Pole vault we thought about but the High school and town was not ready to risk that equipment and just the safety factors.

I’m glad that you have it at all… but is there any chance of having javelin sooner than the event on the 20th?

Nice job with meet #1. Very well organized, started at 6PM and done running by 7:30. I’ll be back and bring a friend or two. Thanks again.

I will probably make an appearance to the next time of the 5K run at this meet. How competitive is this meet? Winning times?
